I am looking for knowledgeable and diverse writers to tackle showbiz short fiction. I will accept submissions by invitation only because I need you to know enough about Hollywood to write intelligently about it. So I encourage movie and TV scribes, executives, lawyers, journalists, critics and authors to email me before submitting their short stories and/or book excerpts of 2,500 to 8,000 words.
If you don’t fall into that group, then please send me an email with your bonafides and wait to see if you receive an invitation to write for the website. Because your fiction will need to demonstrate an insider’s familiarity with how the biz talks, thinks, reacts, as well as its unique set of problems and solutions. In other words, writing for Hollywood Dementia isn’t for everyone. And shouldn’t be.
The stories which I and others write can’t depict any actual Hollywood person or event. The goal is to create a fiction forum for all the creative writing talent which Hollywood attracts but rarely nurtures. I will market each fictional story to my 290,000 Twitter followers. Come for the cynicism. Stay for the subversion. My new website is not for the easily offended or ridiculously naïve.
